Required Equipment

Do I need body armour and a full-face helmet?

Helmets are mandatory and body armour is strongly recommended.

What kind of bike should I bring?

The ideal bike for the park is a mid to long travel suspension bike – although riders will be able to enjoy the park on any type of mountain bike. Front and rear brakes are mandatory.

Do you have equipment rentals available on the mountain?

Not at this time. We have plans to offer rental equipment in the future however Spin Cycles located in Gibson and Off the Edge bike shop in Sechelt offer rentals.

Trails & Services

What kind of trails are there and how many will you open?

We have opened with 14 trails. Our current inventory will appeal to a wide spectrum of rider styles and capabilities ranging from beginner green wide-open machine built trails to technical black diamond downhill trails. We are continuing to build more trails and expand on the network we have in place.

Can we shuttle ourselves in the park?

Unfortunately not, only park shuttles can operate in the park.

Will a lift be installed?

Future plans include lifts. All amenities will be decided upon by ridership.

Do I have to purchase a day pass to ride the park?

You must purchase a shuttle pass to ride the park. No hiking is permitted in the park.

Our Park Passes

Can I buy a pass at Coast Gravity Park?

You can purchase a shuttle day pass at the park for $65 CAD plus GST, with limited availability, or book now online for $58.50. Coast Gravity Park staff prefer if you pre-book your pass in advance to help plan for the day.

Will you offer season passes?

Due to the fact that CGP is open year round,a seasons pass is available to be purchased any time through out the year.your pass will expire 1 year from the day you purchase.

How soon will I need to book a day pass?

You can reserve a pass at any time as long as there is available space on the day you want to book. We highly recommend you book your pass with adequate time in advance.

Are the passes transferable?

Coast Gravity Park passes are not transferable.

Can I change my riding date?

Date changes are accepted with 24 hours notice.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds are available with 72 hrs notice of scheduled date by contacting Park Administration at info@coastgravitypark.ca

How long is the ferry ride from Vancouver to Sechelt?

The ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale is a beautiful and scenic 40-minute trip. Cars and passengers only pay one way on this route.

Are there ever any wait times for arriving or departing ferries?

Reservations are likely to be required during “High Peak” times, which are only Fridays and Sundays during certain summer months and select holidays. Here are the BC Ferries schedules.

Where can we stay on the Coast?

Destination BC has done a great job assimilating all accommodations across the coast from campsites to motels. The Porpoise Bay Provincial Park is located at the bottom of CGP. It is open year round with no fee or services in the off season (October – March off season) Campgrounds available up and down the coast.

What Time does the car park close?

The car park is locked 30 minutes after the scheduled mountain closing. The last shuttle service is 30 minutes before mountain closes.

Who are your local bike shops?

Spin Cycles is located in Gibson and Off the Edge bike shop is in Sechelt.
